Once characters have their own features and their clothes match their personality, they can finally exist in a larger, defined space. It doesn’t matter how unusual or ordinary the world around them is: it is the precise process of creation that will give the scene an unique, fantastic feeling. The illustration should encourage the viewer to sink into the image and see the characters as a living, breathing part of it.
